Yes. The International Building Code contains provisions for AAC masonry, and ASTM standards address AAC units, reinforced elements, and thin-bed mortar. Approved products must still be designed and installed under the locally adopted code, engineering documents, and manufacturer instructions. ICC addresses AAC masonry in Chapter 21.
